The Astle-Alpaugh Family Foundation is committed to the preservation of our local and national heritage. Presentations like this one, which share the oral histories and material artifacts of the human experience, contribute to our society’s sense of perspective on the present and future, and provide opportunities for reflection on and reverence for the past. The Foundation works closely with local citizens, historians, collectors, and museums to preserve their stories so that we can all make connections with our shared history.
A current resident of Central New Jersey, Stephen M. Domovich, was born in Alexandria, Pennsylvania in 1924. After graduating high school on May 26, 1943, he was drafted into the Army and began boot camp on June 6. One year later Stephen found himself on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. Stephen served in four campaigns before the war ended and he returned home. On this Veteran’s Day, we salute Stephen and all Veterans for their service.
